SKIBOB Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: sports outfits or transport vehicles designed for sliding down show covered slope. SUBSTANCE: skibob has bearing platform and, at least, one front and one rear ski of which at least one is connected with platform by control mechanism transforming tilting of platform relative to skibob longitudinal axis into turning of ski relative to vertical axis. Control mechanism is made in form of two axles installed in bearings at constant angle relative to each other. One of axles is installed square to diametral plane of ski in bearings secured on platform or on ski, and the other is coupled with the former axle either directly or through connecting member, is inclined relative to plane of platform or ski and is installed in bearings secured, respectively, on skis or on platform. Skibob can be furnished, depending on design version, with shock absorbers, brake and return member which spontaneously returns skibob into initial position after removal of side load. Design of platform can be adapted for using the skibob in any position of user, i. e. standing, sitting or lying. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 14 cl, 5 dwg
