METHOD TO TREAT NERVE TRUNK DEFECT OF LIMBS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, traumatology, neurosurgery. SUBSTANCE: method deals with measuring defect length in position of maximal distance of renewed edges, fastened nerve is straightened out by movement of corresponding joint. A position obtained is taken to an initial one for next dosed movements at individual mode to provide atraumatic lengthening of a nerve. At the early postoperative period curative gymnastics of a joint should be done by carrying out its passive bending and unbending within movement amplitude limits. At period of nerve lengthening this amplitude is increased in strict correspondence with an individual mode of joint's movements. EFFECT: higher efficiency to exclude traction damages of a nerve at the early postoperative period and prevent complications associated with prolonged immobilization of a joint. 2 cl, 2 dwg
