FIELD: power plant engineering. SUBSTANCE: closed thermodynamic process is realized in proposed method in which liquid and steam phases of working medium are separated at minimum cycle temperature and then gaseous phase is compressed adiabatically to heater temperature. In device containing standard members of piston heat engine, working cylinders are divided into two blocks, one of which is in heat contact and in balance with heater, and in other block each cylinder is adiabatically insulated. EFFECT: improved efficiency of conversion of heat energy into mechanical energy. 7 cl, 5 dwg
