FIELD: manufacture of fittings. SUBSTANCE: two half-bodies of gate valve are provided with sealing seats of bushes made from elastomer material. When gate valve is in open position, inner end surfaces of bushes are in tight contact with each other and when gate valve is in closed position, they are engageable with shut-off member. Each bush is provided with at least one blind axial hole which is filled with material of bush when it is compressed by shut-off member. Each bush is provided with rigidly ring pressed in it; this ring is made of material which is harder as compared with material of bush. Ring is located at bottom of axial hole of bush. Inner diameter of ring exceeds inner diameter of bush. Inner surface of each bush is provided with arc-shaped radial groove at arc distance of about 120 deg.
