FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: cultivating implement has points installed on frame at intervals at intervals equal to row width and through center of cultivated beds before peg tooth harrows with working width equal to B=2b-h tg β where 2 is number of linear of planted tubers on bed; b - line-to-line distance of bed; h is strip shattering depth under bed; β is angle of soil cutting. Points of implement are made in form of subsurface cultivators whose tines in lower part change into point bar to form slots in hardpan in zone of shattered strip of bed. Shattering of beds is carried at out in strip through center of bed in zone of root system and tuber socket. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities; improved quality of soil cultivation. 2 cl, 4 dwg
