FIELD: agricultural engineering; seeding carrot, radish, chicory. SUBSTANCE: drill has two-row metering device which provides, in addition to checkrow sowing. possibility of simplifying the design as it does not require speed up drive from drive wheel to metering device shaft. Ski-shaped plate with shaped ridge is used for furrowing. Drive wheel of metering device is located behind the plate. Ski-shaped plate smooths out soil surface, thus providing furrow with smooth base and sides, and drive wheel rotates uniformly without slipping. To prevent rolling away of ball-shaped seeds dropped into furrow, U-shaped tail pieces are used. To decrease speed of seed dropping, shutoff devices are installed on ends of intake case nozzles which kill seed dropping speed. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, possibility of checkrow and in-line sowing, increased capacity of drill, improved quality of sowing, quality of vegetable when checkrow sowing is used, and economy of sown area. 5 dwg
