METHOD FOR OBTAINING GARMENT PATTERN Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves designing garment surface in accordance with model directly on mannequin; setting gaps between constructive points of garment and points corresponding to anthropometric points on mannequin; marking garment parts contour line locations to obtain patterns on the basis of garment parts. Prior to obtaining garment surface, contour lines of joint linear surfaces defining three-dimensional surface of garment are plotted and rigidly fixed. To do that, flexible elongate material is used to fix three-dimensional shape. Lines are drawn above anthropological points positioned in locations of natural convexities and concavities of mannequin. Method further involves reading coordinates of plotted contour lines of linear surfaces; calculating and drawing planar developments of linear surfaces; joining planar developments to obtain garment patterns without allowances for joints.
