FIELD: furniture construction. SUBSTANCE: device has padded back plate connected with fastening member, which is mounted on chair back pole for longitudinal displacement along it. Device is further provided with unit for blocking back pole and fastening member. Mentioned unit has clamp positioned at fastening member side opposed to back plate. Clamp has at least one through opening or at least one through recess, through which anchor may be directed with its end and retained by lobes. Other end of anchor is inserted into clamp and connected through opening and pin with lever. Lever is positioned for pivoting about pin and is equipped with fitting, which may be turned to be clamped between pin and clamp. Combined action of extension force acting upon anchor and pressure applied to clamp provide retaining of fastening member relative to chair back pole. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 8 cl, 6 dwg
