FIELD: welding technology. SUBSTANCE: according to method, during welding cycle, one or several times (depending on thickness of welding articles, value of current and duration of welding) power supply to welding arc is intentionally stopped without stopping delivery of electrode. At substantial thickness of welding metal during intentional stopping of power supply, power is fed sufficient for heating electrode to plastic condition. In result, during intentional stopping of welding current supply, delivered into hot bath during cycle period is cold metal which welds with bath metal thus reducing its temperature which prevents overheating of weld joint metal. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl
