FIELD: cigarette packing machines. SUBSTANCE: device is provided with fixture for delivery of free end on one sheet of packing material to sheet which comes to end, knife for cutting the ending sheet after splicing and fixture for connecting both sheets. To ensure splicing at full rotational speed of cigarette packing machine, disk is provided which is revolving around axis vertical relative to plane of transportation of sheets of packing material; this disk is provided with circular cylindrical sector revolving independently around axis and fixed (relative to disk) receiving knife for cutting free end of sheet of packing material and counter-member which are shifted from separated position to position of clamping the free end of sheet. Release rolls through which ending sheet of packing material is guided are located in arc of turn of circle of circular cylindrical sector. Fixture for delivery of free end of sheet of packing material is made in form of grab located for passage in space between circular cylindrical sector and counter-member in their separated position.
