FIELD: technology of organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: industrial synthetic ethyl alcohol is purified by treatment with reagent and caustic alkali. Reagent is selected from resorcinol, urea, hydroxyl amine sulfate, hydrazine hydrate, hydrazine sulfate, sodium sulfate, dimedone, soybean oil, sunflower oil at certain ratio reagent-caustic alkali ratio. Industrial purified alcohol is further boiled and distilled. Industrial synthetic ethyl alcohol is suitable for use in aerosol compounds. EFFECT: more efficient purification method. 2 tbl
