FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this mainly relates to recovery of oil and gas. According to method, wells are hermetically sealed by packers at level of bed roof, and preliminarily located in them are electrodes, high-voltage electric current is supplied to them, electric arc is ignited either at fusing of meltable link between two electrodes only in one well B, or at drawing apart electrode only in one well A. Electric arc is ignited over most electrically conducting stratum in bed between wells A and B by preliminary heating of electrically conducting stratum of bed or by preliminary breakdown of intervals through same stratum of bed between electrodes of two adjacent wells A and B at deposit. Then, electric arcs are moved through interbed space in required order and succession, and for this purpose igniting voltage is supplied to electrodes of new adjacent wells of deposit, and voltage is cut off in those wells where electric arcs were already burning. In case of necessity, interbed treatment of deposit by electric arcs is effected multiple times through required time intervals. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
