FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to underground development of mineral seams of medium and large thickness. Intensive exposure of vertical layer is performed for two or four paired entries. After exposure of ore layer, entries are closed by pillar through entire thickness of layer with retaining haulage and loading ways with ensuring normal ventilation in developing subsequent layers and using this underground development for drilling lower lying reserve. This permits wider use of systems of releasing vertical layers of ores to sublevel, and cuts amount of mining operations in extraction of minerals. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 cl, 8 dwg
