FIELD: wind-power engineering; windmills in which rotor axis of revolution is perpendicular to wind direction. SUBSTANCE: windmill has windwheel with blades, hollow vertical shaft mounting windwheel, and fixed wind guide arranged over windwheel circumference. Hollow vertical shaft has flow path and blades are installed in its hollow over helical line. Wind guide has wind-concentration walls, wind-guide walls, base, and top platform. Wind-concentration walls are paired and so are wind-guide walls; paired walls are mounted on base over windwheel circumference in diametrically opposite positions and inclined through certain angle toward windwheel direction of rotation; free end of each wall is fixed to top platform.
