FIELD: heat treatment of shafts. SUBSTANCE: furnace includes working chamber with loading and unloading ports, loading and unloading mechanisms and transport facility arranged in working chamber, U-shaped loading chamber with inclined bottom and U-shaped vertical unloading chamber. Transport facility is made in form of rotary indexing table with two faceplates having coaxial slots over their perimeter which are not closed. Rotary table is located in guide casing consisting of two interconnected ferrules. Ferrules are connected with side walls of working chamber through adjustable strainers. Unloading mechanism is made in form of L-shaped drive rod; unloading port provided with damper is located in slot of working chamber. Damper is connected by means of double- arm rod of unloading mechanism. EFFECT: heating long articles, such as shafts in vertical position with no warping. 3 c, 4 dwg
