FIELD: means and methods of concealment or deception with employment of deceptive aerosols, methods of optimization of operating conditions of highly efficient aerosol generators. SUBSTANCE: the residue time of generated aerosols produced as a result of short-time operation of highly efficient aerosol generators in various conditions is determined visually or with employment of instruments. The residence time of generated aerosols is the time during which the generated aerosols preserve their deceptive properties. After that the operating condition of the highly efficient aerosol generator providing the maximum residence time of generated aerosols is taken as the optimum one. According to the results of optimization experiments for standard smoke generators, types TDA-M and TMC-65D, this time makes up 15 to 20 s. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 1 tbl
