SUBSTANCE: method determining paleotemperature of rock consists in selection of samples of rock, in their heating and in analysis of compositions of released gases after every 10 C Temperature at which release of unsaturated hydrocarbons increases by more than 5 times is fixed. Paleotemperature of rock is determined by experimental dependence of peculiar composition of released gases obtained in laboratory in advance on corresponding paleotemperature for sample of rock of quaternary age.
