FIELD: power-plant engineering. SUBSTANCE: safety gear has cylindrical tank 1 with inlet pipe 2 and outlet pipe 3 separated by horizontal partition 4 that has central hole closed with top gate valve 9 fixed to bottom gate valve 15. Top gate valve 9 is located with cover 10 and bottom gate valve 15 closes inlet pipe 2 through concentric sealing rings 16, 17, 18. Safety gear has piping 33 communicating with oil supply piping 38 as well as drainage with actuator. Axes gate valves 9, 15 and piping 37 for hydrogen discharge into atmosphere are aligned. Under normal conditions lower part of tank 1 is held under oil pressure equal to pressure in inlet piping. As soon as oil pressure in tank 1 reduces to definite value, top and bottom gate valves 9 and 15 start moving up under the action of hydrogen pressure, and the latter will reduced due to escape of hydrogen into atmosphere to value depending on mass of gate valves and area of inlet pipe. EFFECT: improved reliability of turbogenerator due to elimination of emergency situations. 2 dwg
