FIELD: silicon production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of crystalline silicon by carbothermic reduction method in ore-thermal furnaces and focuses on preparing agglomerated charge material with elevated porosity and strength as well as reducing operational expenses by way of simplifying agglomeration process. To that end, as binder, mixture of liquid glass and powdered silicon is used and suspension obtained is portionwise dispensed and subjected to heat treatment at 40-60 C for 3-5 min.
