FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes aqueous surface-active paste which comprises at least one surfactant which is stable in alkali medium, more particularly non-ionic surfactant such as alkyl glyroside, and water. Said surfactant is substantially free fro pigments capable of being bleached and such pigment precursors which cause coloring in alkali medium, and which are also free from by-products and remnants which cause lowering of pH values during storage period, and paste has pH of at least 11, the ratio of components being as follows (wt %): 30-70 surfactant stable in alkali medium, and water and alkaline agent for determining pH value, the balance. The present invention also describes method of preparing aqueous surface active paste. Said method comprises mixing surfactant with water. Said surfactant is substantially free from pigments capable of being bleached and such pigment precursors which cause coloring in alkali medium and which are also free from by-products and remnants which cause lowering of pH values during storage period. pH of the claimed paste is adjusted to at least 11, more preferably to 12.5 and most preferably to 11.5-11.8 using alkaline agent.
