FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: according to method, deposit is opened by pattern of producing wells and deposit is subjected to cyclic treatment in two stages. At first stage, heat-carrier is injected into every second producing wells in well pattern. Oil is recovered from remaining wells. At second stage, oil is recovered from wells in which heat-carrier was early injected, and heat-carrier is injected into wells from which oil was earlier recovered. Cycles are repeated five to eight times. Then transfer is made to mode of injecting cold water into wells included in created area or row systems. Total amount of heat-carrier injected into each well and amount of heat-carrier in each cycle of thermal treatment are determined according to special formulas. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 tbl, 1 dwg
