METHOD FOR EVALUATING VIABILITY OF LIVER'S MICROSOMATIC SYSTEM EXPOSED TO EFFECT OF ALKYLATING-TYPE XENOBIOTICS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2104539 C1

FIELD: experimental medicine; biology. SUBSTANCE: alkylating-type xenobiotic is applied onto test animal's skin, followed by taking animal's blood sample for subsequent study. Novelty resides in fact that prior to applying xenobiotic onto animal's skin, carbamazepine is administered to test animal to serve as pharmaceutical probe. To blood plasma obtained from animal's blood acid is added under constant stirring followed by adding chloroform and ammonium sulfate in excessive amount. Precipitate is separated from blood plasma followed by evaporating extract until dry residue is obtained at temperature 42 $$$ C. Residue is separated under conditions of liquid using inversed-phase chromatography as eluent aqueous methanol solution, followed by detecting carbamazepine with the help of ultraviolet rays. If carbamazepine content increased as compared to norm under effect of xenobiotics, activity of microsomatic hepatic ferments is regarded to be disordered. Viability of hepatic microsomatic system may be evaluated even if living organism is exposed to effect of minor doses of dermatovesical poisoning substances. Quality of examination is improved due to establishing parameters characterized organism's adaptative-compensatory processes. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 tbl
