METHOD OF LIQUID CLEANING OF FERROMAGNETIC PARTICLES AND INSTALLATION FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning of lubricant-coolant at grinding, honing, superfinish and other production operations when ferromagnetic particles are formed. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in feeding of liquid to be cleaned to a vessel, passage of it through a magnetic system with a moving endless chain conveyer, with magnetic cores secured on it, cleaning of magnetic cores of slime and discharge of cleaned liquid from the vessel. After delivery of liquid to the vessel it is directed over the inclined base (bottom) of the vessel, passed through the magnetic system with the conveyer moving counter-clockwise towards the feeding pipe connection and divided into the main and auxiliary flows, which are discharged from the vessel through the pipe connections. The flow rate of the main flow liquid is controlled by varying the flow rate of the auxiliary flow. The liquid auxiliary flow is directed again to the system of liquid feed for cleaning. The installation uses a vessel, magnetic system in the form of a powered endless chain conveyer with magnetic cores secured on it, and an appliance for cleaning the cores. The vessel is made in the form of a tetragonal truncated pyramid, whose larger face has a stepped shape and serves as the base (bottom) of the vessel for liquid to be cleaned. The vessel is furnished with an additional discharge pipe connection. The discharge connections are positioned on the larger lateral face of the vessel, the discharge connection of the liquid auxiliary flow is positioned in the bottom part of the vessel and furnished with a liquid flow rate governor.
