FIELD: sorbents. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to adsorbents applicable in hydrometallurgy of precious metals for recovering silver and consists in preparing sulfur-containing shale tar being precursor for preparing polycondensate from furfural, acid tar, and disintegrated exhausted petroleum-processing zeolite. Prepared polycondensate bulk is crushed, mixed with wood tar at 70 C, carbonized at 800 ± 10 C in carbon dioxide flow, and activated at the same temperature in steam flow until combustion loss 37-42% is achieved.
