FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method, which may find use at copper and copper alloy producing plants, consists in grinding slag on self-grinding mill to attain size of rock constituent less than 1 mm or 3 mm. Ground material is screened to isolate fraction with size -40+1 mm or -60+3 mm as copper shots' concentrate, fraction with size +40 mm or +60 mm in the form of circulation loading to be used as grinding medium, and fraction with size less than 1 mm or 3 mm that is conveyed into gravity-separation process to yield copper concentrate and rock reject. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
