FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: up-to-day hydrocarbon catalytic cracking processes conducted in fluidized bed include hydrocarbon catalytic cracking and cracking catalyst regeneration stages, the latter involving simultaneous carbon monoxide oxidation on platinum-containing oxidation promoters, role of the current promoters only consisting in maximizing carbon monoxide oxidation. Catalytic cracking in existing processes is largely conducted at 475-480 C, and cracking catalyst regeneration and CO oxidation in presence of Pt- containing promoters at 625-670 C. High temperature of the second stage leads to decreased lifetime of equipment and lowered activity of cracking catalyst and CO oxidation promoter. Besides, all existing processes do not provide improved quality of gasoline obtained. Invention is distinguished by carrying out cracking catalyst regeneration and CO oxidation with promoter containing 0.02-0.07 wt % platinum, 0.2-1.5 wt % rare-earth metal oxides, and aluminum oxide (to 100%) in fluidized regenerator bed at 550-620 C. Octane number of gasoline produced according to invention is increased by 0.5 to 1.5 points. Invention also provides reduced coke content on regenerated catalyst. EFFECT: lowered temperature of catalyst regeneration and improved anti-knock characteristics of gasoline product. 4 tbl
