FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: superheated water is pumped into engine chamber 1; after filling chamber 1, water is fed to nozzle 4 under action of excessive pressure of steam cushion formed in chamber. Large liquid particles appearing in steam flow due to boiling of water are separated at nozzle inlet. Steam-water rocket engine includes chamber 1 filled with superheated water and large liquid particle separator mounted at nozzle inlet and made in form of centrifugal swirler 7 with screen filter 9. Liquid phase separator is required for reduction of loss of pulse in nozzle due to unbalance of two-phase flow. EFFECT: enhanced uniformity of flow and reduced losses of thrust pulse in nozzle. 6 cl, 3 dwg
