FIELD: steel industry. SUBSTANCE: induction furnace is designed for heating and repeat heating of flat articles, specifically, of thin slabs in continuous casting machines before stage of finish rolling in process of manufacture of thin steel strips. Thanks to small thickness of heated article furnace of this type has diminished size of coils in direction of feed of strip. There is envisaged flow concentrator formed by two continuous packages of plates having C-shaped cross-section which embrace induction coil both from above and from below along its entire length leaving free only one section for passage or duct through which article subject to heating enters coil. EFFECT: prevention of loss of efficiency and emergence of great leakage of flux followed by serious interference. 2 cl, 4 dwg
