SUBSTANCE: the rib and surface are brought together forming a V-slot with the apex in the convergence point. The surface and rib are overheated by passage of high-frequency current. The current leads are installed at definite distances from the convergence point along the axis of welding. The preheating zone is located between the current lead to the surface and the convergence point. The surface and rib are compressed in the convergence point. The current lead to the rib is positioned at a distance from the convergence point, depending on the rib thickness.
