FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to facilities for protecting production string of injection and disposal wells from high pressure and effect of fluid being injected. Packer is reliable in operation, simple in design and permits technological operations at down-hole and in down-hole zone of bed to be carried out without its lifting from well. Packer has barrel which carries self-packing collar. Also provided are cylindrical collar, lower and upper stops for collars. Self-packing collar closes protective housing with piston. There are seating unit and valve unit. Valve unit is of shear type and provided with locking member made in the form of dropping ball. Seating unit is in the form of extending slips which are interconnected by flat spring. Slips can return to transport position. Cylindrical packing collar is fitted over barrel.
