DOUBLE-ACTING HYDRAULIC PACKER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, isolation of open productive objects in oil and gas wells, prevention of interpool flows. SUBSTANCE: packer is made of mechanism of packing drive, anchor-sealing unit and depacking mechanism. Mechanism of packing drive includes upper and lower cylinders placed on sectional core, ring-shaped piston located between core and cylinders, circular T-shaped key. The latter is positioned in circular groove of core and transmits axial effort on packer together with coupling and torque. Sectional buffer is meant for fixing of packer. Anchor-sealing unit has distance bar with comb, sealing elastic collars of variable section embracing distance bar, separator, ratchet- type locking rod located in separator. This unit also has threading dies with die stock, fingered bushing with cone-shaped protrusion and two-way collet. Depacking mechanism includes rods preventing accidental blocking of threading dies, lug, locking ring and slider. The latter can move along lug. Locking ring and slider fix lower cylinder in extreme lower position. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of packer under increased pressure. 2 cl, 13 dwg
