FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: it can be used for cleaning pump-compressor pipes of oil gushing, gas-lift wells and wells having subsurface pumps from asphalt-resin and paraffin-hydrate deposits. Device has shell made of aluminium and filled with chemically active mass made on base of at least one alkali metal. Active mass is coated with bitumen. Initially applied to shell surface is layer of mixture of paraffin and transformer oil which is coated outside with aluminium powder. Shell is normally made of aluminium foil. Device is placed in transport package and is provided with facility for removing aforesaid package before using device. Active mass can be made up of two half-cylinders forming together enclosed single or sectional space containing filler (aluminium powder or mixture of aluminium powder and weighting component or surface-active material and/or emulsifier and/or catalyst).
