FIELD: structural seismology, evaluation of intensity of vibrations with allowance for properties of soils making up construction site. SUBSTANCE: seismic vibrations are excited in soil with the aid of vibration source, are recorded by geophones located on sections with different engineering-geological conditions, spectra of vibrations are plotted and areas of spectra of vibrations of examined and standard soils located at distance larger and smaller than wave length of seismic vibrations are determined. Nonelastic increments of vibration force are calculated from relation ΔI = 2,4lg(Spi)1(Sas)2/(Spi)2(Sas)1, where (Spi)1 is area of spectrum of vibrations of examined soil located at distance smaller than wave length of seismic vibrations, m; (Spi)2 is area of spectrum of vibrations of examined soil located at distance larger than wave length of seismic vibrations, m; (Sas)1 is area of spectrum of vibrations of standard soil located at distance smaller than length of seismic vibrations, m; (Sas)2 is area of spectrum of vibrations of standard soil located at distance larger than wave length of seismic vibrations, m. Degree of seismic effect is evaluated by values of nonelastic increment of vibration force. EFFECT: improved authenticity and reliability of process. 2 tbl
