FIELD: agricultural biotechnology, in particular, selection of dew worms adaptable to different substrates and keeping conditions. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing mother population into set between interconnected substrate samples, with one sample being formed from pure recyclable substrate and other substrates being prepared from mixture of basic substrate and substrate requiring recycling in different ratio; keeping all sets of samples under different process conditions; upon termination of keeping cycle, separating and counting adult specimens, newly born and cocoons; considering sample with maximum concentration of recyclable substrate as basic; repeating all operations till obtaining of population of dew worms, which have provided mass settling of sample of pure substrate to be recycled.
