FIELD: construction material, in particular, manufacture of heat-insulating and soundproofing liners or flat plates from fibrous-polymeric materials for furniture industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying into mold succession of layers: layer of mixture containing 5-30% of binder, layer of fibrous particles and layer of mixture containing 5-30% of binder, with layer thickness ratio being 0.8-2.3 : 5.5-8.5 : 0.8-2.3 and size ratio of fibrous particles in layers being 0.8-1.5 : 1.5-3 : 0.8-1.5; providing hot pressing under pressure of 10-60 kg/sq sm and at temperature ranging between 150 and 170 C. Gap of 2-20 mm thickness may be provided between press-mold side surface and mixture layers and filled with fibrous polymer mixture containing 5-30% of binder with fibrous particle size not exceeding 1 mm. Layers containing 5-30% of binder may be formed by laying prefabricated plates of fibrous polymer mixture or acetic or formic acid may be introduced into fibrous particle mass in an amount of 1-5% by weight.
