FIELD: production of cylindrical bales from wastes, fibrous and like materials. SUBSTANCE: pressing apparatus has driven pressing part for receiving and pressing of material and discharge part for dispensing of bales. Pressing part has closed mat driven for movement from end disks through driving devices. Closed mat is guided and deformed so as to impart predetermined shape to it. As a result compression chamber is defined. Disks are mounted so that they may be lead out of pressing zone. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 9 cl, 7 dwg
