FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process consists in feed of starting material, for instance aluminium oxide, with simultaneous vibrational action of feeding facilities. Starting material comes into controlling duct arranged in immediate vicinity of surface of molten electrolyte. Mechanical vibration in vertical direction with amplitude 0.5-1.5 cm and vibration frequency 11-40 Hz is applied to feeding facilities located in duct. Starting material is fed continuously through hole in crust of electrolyte around controlling duct. EFFECT: improved efficiency of process. 6 cl, 1 dwg
