TWISTED REINFORCED THREAD Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: textile and sewing industry. SUBSTANCE: twisted reinforced thread has nonreinforced component in the form of synthetic complex thread and reinforced yarn with core of synthetic thread and braiding of cotton filaments. Synthetic complex thread of nonreinforced component has twisting making 0.75-1.00 of twistings of reinforced yarn and twisted reinforced thread and equal to twisting of reinforced yarn and of direction opposite to that of twisted reinforced thread. Core of reinforced yarn is positioned at an angle to axis of twisted reinforced thread. Such construction allows performance parameters of twisted reinforced thread to be improved by positioning complex thread of nonreinforced component and core of reinforced yarn at equal low angle to axis of twisted reinforced thread as well as due to their equal lengths. Twisted reinforced thread has increased specific tensile loading due to uniform distribution of cotton filaments of braiding on twisted thread surface and improved fastening by coils of nonreinforced component.
