FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: high-bulk yarn presents multicomponent blended flax-containing self-twist yarn with structural and color fancy effect. Yarn possesses structural fancy effect in longitudinal cross-section manifested in presence of thickened and compacted parts imparting a specific effect, and in cross-section it is manifested in presence of angle shift between characteristic points of twisting on roving surface. Structural fancy effect of blended roving in cross-section is attained due to distribution of fibers of blended components in core and shell and use of fibers different in geometric sizes and physical properties. Fancy effect in cross-section of roving which is also affected by direction of twist is manifested in yarn by presence of fluffy appearance. Spatial location of rovings and presence of thickened and thinned parts are characterized by relationship of space factor of sections filled with fibers of thickened and compacted parts. Use in yarn of components in the form of natural fibers, for instance, cotton and flax possessing high water absorption properties in blend with chemical fibers allows considerable increase of hydroscopically of yarn and products on its base. Blended roving due to its natural color of natural components possesses original coloristic effect and flax-like or wool-like appearance due to which yarn and products on its base may be used without their finishing. EFFECT: considerably extended assortment of fabrics of domestic application (underwear, apparel, upholstery, decorative), knitted fabric and knitted articles, and nonwoven fabrics.
