SLIDE GATE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: control and shut-off of working medium flowing through pipe lines of technical systems. SUBSTANCE: slide gate includes body 1 with cylindrical cavity 2, three ceramic disks 3, 4 and 5 which are engageable with one another by their precision surfaces. Disks 3, 4 and 5 are provided with straight-way ports 6, 7 and 8. Outer disks 3 and 5 are mounted immovably and their ports are located opposite each other, center disk 4 is mounted for rotation about body 1. Slide gate is provided with drive member made in form of worm 15 engageable with circular hub 12 through which rotation is transmitted to center disk 4. Parting plane H of body 1 is parallel to plane of end surfaces of disks 3, 4 and 5 and is shifted relative to axis of rotation of worm 15 by amount exceeding one and a half of its radius. Slide gate is provided with indicator-limiter of angle of turn of center disk 4 fitted on output shaft 17 of worm 15. Limiter-indicator is made in form of screw rod 27 provided with nut 28 and notch 33 whose faces slide in box housing 29 provided with port 30 with divisions corresponding to positions of center disk 4.
