FIELD: cryogenic engineering; low-temperature cooling systems. SUBSTANCE: cooling is effected by sprinkling the surface fragment with liquid cryogenic agent. For feeding the cryogenic agent and removing its vapors, use is made of low-heat-conducting porous material applied as a coat with passages. In lower portion of coat, non-evaporating cryogenic agent is separated from vapors formed during its boiling. Liquid cryogenic agent returns by gravity to supply reservoir wherefrom it is again supplied for sprinkling by means of submersible pump. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
