FIELD: crude oil treating. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dehydration and desalting of crude oil at oil fields and oil refineries and consists in measuring kinematic viscosity of oil before and after adding emulsifier at the same temperature followed by determining aggregative stability from formula: Agr. st. = C(ν1-ν2)/ν1•100 where ν1 and ν2 are kinematic viscosities of oil before and after adding emulsifier, respectively, and C is constant value.
