FIELD: crude oil treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of crude oil on oil fields and on plants processing oil sludges and trap oils. Stable crude oil emulsions are destroyed by introducing into emulsion demulsifier of the type of ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer mixed with reagent and also water, after which the total is heated and stirred. According to invention, water is added before addition of demulsifier, which is, in particular, so-called Disolvan 4490, reagent is α--(1-oxo-9-octadecenyl)-ω-hydroxy-poly(oxy-1,2-ethandiol), and, in addition, trisodium phosphate is employed. Weight ratio of these components is 1:1.5:3.0. Formation water is preferred and heating temperature is 60 C. EFFECT: enhanced emulsion destruction efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg, 4 tbl
