FIELD: production of articles with triangular thread. SUBSTANCE: cutting plate is configured to provide controlled discharge of elongated chips of materials under process. Cutting plate may be used for cutting inner thread. Edges of cutting projection of plate are positioned in plane inclined to horizontal plane at an angle of 5-15 deg. Wedge-shaped projection positioned between these edges has rear part, which may be conjugated with upper side of plate. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved configuration of cutting plate allowing effective cooling, reduced cutting forces and tool wear. 10 cl, 11 dwg
