FIELD: recovery of oil or water from deep wells. SUBSTANCE: drive for deep-well sucker rod pump includes base, support, walking beam articulated on support, swivel head and head turning mechanism which is made in the form of screw gear consisting of two motion screws with right- and left-hand threads and forks. Motion screws are fitted in tube with internal thread and tap wrench. On one side, screw gear is articulated on walking beam and on the other, it is articulated with one ear provided on walking beam head. Availability of two more ears located at different distance from axis of turn of head makes it possible to create different moments of force required for turn of head and for its complete revolution. When head of walking beam is in working position, motion screws are fully driven in pipe which protects them against weather and dirt. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 7 dwg
