METHOD FOR APPLYING COAT ON INNER SURFACE OF PIPELINE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: application of protective and sealing coats on inner surfaces of pipelines during manufacture and repair, mainly, for preventive maintenance and repair of leaky pipes of water-supply and sewerage nets. SUBSTANCE: method includes introducing pipe-like hose made from fibrous material inside pipe; fibrous material is impregnated with binder and is enclosed in polymer envelope. Introducing the hose is effected by turning it inside out and moving into pipe followed by turning and pressing it to inner surface of pipe due to pressure of fluid medium and subsequent hardening. Turning the hose inside out and moving it inside pipe, as well as turning and pressing it to inner surface of pipe are effected due to pressure exerted on inner surface of turned-out hose created by dead weight of water column; motion of hose inside pipe is effected at lower pressure as compared with that at full spreading and pressing of hose to inner surface of pipe. Motion of hose inside pipe is effected at pressure created by water column whose height is equal to depending on diameter of pipe; full spreading and pressing of hose to inner surface of pipe is effected at pressure created by water column whose height is equal to , where h is height of water column, m; d is diameter of pipe, m; 3 and 6 are base magnitudes.
