SUBSTANCE: photobarrier sensor has pulse laser radiator 1 light filter 2 for wave length of laser radiator 1, lens 3 behind which photoreceiver 4 is positioned, selective amplifier 6 and electronic unit 7, all devices are enclosed in one casing 5. Ray of laser radiator 1 crosses main optical axis of lens 3, and position of photoreceiver 4 relative to lens 3 is selected so that illumination spot of laser radiator 1 on object is within the area of photoreceiver 4 only in case object is located in preset range of distances to photobarrier sensor.
