FIELD: equipment for magnetic recording. SUBSTANCE: device for engagement with cassette which is loaded with magnetic tape has magnetic head assembly with housing in which magnetic head is located. Magnetic head has front surface with working gap and first wiring surface which is perpendicular to plane of working gap. Magnetic head assembly has front section which parts are tape guides and which has second wiring surface which is positioned with respect to first wiring surface of magnetic head.
