METHOD TO TREAT NEUROPATHY OF FACIAL NERVE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, neurology. SUBSTANCE: xydiphone is introduced by lectrophoresis and additionally an exercise is done which includes glance fixation outwards and downwards upon an object initially situated at an angle of 35-50 deg. against horizontal line of a glance for 3-5 seconds, then glance should be returned to initial level. At unilateral neuropathy of facial nerve glance fixation is conducted at the side of lesion, in case of bilateral neuropathy - at the side of the right facial nerve. At conducting xydiphone electrophoresis anode is installed in area of zygomatic branch of facial nerve, and cathode is put upon area of the upper cervical sympathetic node projection at the side of lesion. Moreover, at bilateral process electrodes are placed alternately from the right and left sides. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 1 tbl
