FIELD: plastic metal working, production of semi-tubular rivets in automatic cold-upsetting machines. SUBSTANCE: after cutting off of rod billet of measured length the latter is subjected to deformation in several passes. In this case, there are conducted in sequence calibration with pressing out of mark, direct pressing out with obtaining dumb cavity in one of rod, reduction in die and final styling of rivet head. Reduction is carried out in die with conical deforming part. Stepped semi-finished product with conical transition surface between steps is manufactured. Butt of smaller step has dumb cavity. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture of semi-tubular rivets. 1 dwg
